Biography

Cutler Real Estate asked Julie a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Julie's replies.

1. What is your professional/educational background?

  • Bachelor's Degree - The Ohio State University
  • Master's Degree - Ashland University
  • Real Estate License - Hondros College

2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?

I wanted a flexible career with a lot of freedom where hard work is rewarded. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, showing them homes and looking for the perfect one for them. Real estate is exciting, each day is new, different and often times, a lot of fun.

3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?

I grew up in Massillon and currently live in Jackson Township. Stark County is a great place to live. We have excellent schools, parks, recreation and affordable housing. It is a great place to raise a family.

4. How do you spend your free time?

I pretty much do the same things every day. Exercise, read, watch my favorite political channel, cook, walk my dog and spend time with my family and friends.

5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?

  1. Some things that are irreplaceable to me are my family videos and photos. They always make me smile. I love looking back at my two kids when they were little.
  2. Two boxes of drawings, cards, notes, and journals my kids have made over the years.
  3. Books. I enjoy reading, and I have some favorites that have inspired me and also collections of beautiful old books handed down from my grandfather.
  4. My workout equipment. I'm trying to get in better shape!
  5. My recipe box. Cooking is something I like to do, and I have some favorite family recipes, especially those from my Abuela. I was raised on cooking from Spain.

6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?

If you’re looking for an agent, look no further. Julie Worstell is everything you are looking for in an agent, and then some. Julie is patient, kind, understanding, dedicated and hard working. She goes out of her way to make the process of buying or selling your home a good one. Julie was accessible at any given time and always had answers to our questions (or if she didn’t, she reached out quickly and got back to us). She was fantastic at staying in contact with our bank and title agency and always kept us informed at every step. I honestly can’t say enough good about her. Working with Julie and Peggy was a fantastic experience! We met Julie by happenstance when we decided to check out one of her open houses. While our plan was buy was a future goal (at least a year!), we came across our forever home just a month later and her expertise helped us navigate every single step with patience and confidence. She was quick to get us a showing and since we had not fully prepared to buy so soon, she worked diligently to connect us with an available loan officer that same day (on a holiday nonetheless, when all banks were closed!) so we could have a pre-approval in hand and submit an offer. She stayed up late through the bidding war, into the evening of the home inspection, and coached us on what to prioritize as we put our home up for sale. We have bought and sold a few time before, but this was hands down the smoothest process of anyone we have worked with. We would put every confidence in her if we ever had to buy or sell again and have already recommended her to friends looking for a realtor.
