MANY STARK AND SUMMIT COUNTY AREA'S SEE HOME PRICES RISE.
Well there is good news and bad news in regards to the local real estate market. The good: many communities are seeing increases in home prices, while others are becoming more stable , and a few continue to struggle. I compared SINGLE FAMILY HOME sales in 2009 to SINGLE FAMILY HOME sale from January 2010 - July 2010 and the numbers show the market is trying to stabalize itself. HUD PROPERTIES
If you are a handy man and looking for a good deal then HUD homes may be something you want to take a look at. While HUD homes usually require a little TLC they are not for everybody. There are special requirements when purchacing a HUD home and there are special renovation loans available as well. HUD homes can make great investment properties. What ever your interest are, I understand the need for distinctive real estate representation.
BANK OWNED PROPERTIES
The market is flooded with bank owned properties. Like HUD homes, many of these homes need various levels of repairs. Bank owned properties also present special renovation loan opportunities. Once a home has reached foreclosure it is then assigned to the Sheriff for sale via auction. The banks generally buy these homes back. After a few months the bank assigns these homes to a Realtor who then list the property. These properties are usually put back on the market under market value which makes them a good buy depending on how much renovation work you are comfortable doing.
