The Bomb Shelter
Retro furniture is a must in Akron, and we are particularly fond of The Bomb Shelter, which sells vintage kitchen appliances, furniture, clothing, toys and TV sets. They opened in 2001 with 18,000+ square feet of warehouse space and a goal to give a second life to things from their childhoods. So take a moment to peruse goods from over a thousand different places all over the world—if not for the fantastic prices, but for the overwhelming nostalgia factor!

If the HGTV hit, Fixer Upper is your jam, Bridgewater Primitives is a glorious find. The homely Alliance storefront is brimming with well-loved old pieces and homemade goods that any rustic-decor enthusiast will adore. We have a particular fondness for their incredible selection of homespun candles (especially the lovely blueberry scent) that would be a fantastic addition to any decor.
